China's contributions to a cleaner, greener Earth

Today marks Earth Day. President Xi Jinping has said, "Earth is our only and shared home" and "We shall protect ecosystems as preciously as we protect our eyes, and cherish them as dearly as we cherish our lives."

Last year, Xi announced that China aims to have carbon dioxide emissions peak by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060. It has made great achievements in environmental protection and ecological civilization and promised to do more.
